Can anybody throw some light concerning the effect of Thyroid on BS control.

BS was under control with medication & food habits. Suddenly for last 3mnths BS is out of control FS/PP :190-220/230-250.despite medication and diet control. Thyroid chkd & found +ve.

Thyroid hormones are having effect on carbohydrate metabolism.thyroxine stimulates the absorption of monosachcharide from intestine.it stimulates glycogenolysis and produces hyperglycaemia. Also stimulates glucose utilisation and enhance breakdown of insulin.advice:you may have hyperthyroidism.consult endocrinologist.

Not sure with my limited knowledge. Will refer the problem to my Doctor for further investigation.
