Which fruit we diabetic can eat ??

Avoid fruits but instead of that should use green salad

Avoid fruits containing high starch like mango and banana,etc.other fruits can be taken in small amts. according to ur diet planning.(consume covering part of fruit also as it is good source of dietary fibres which prevents rapid swings in sugar level and also beneficial for heart.e.g. In case of apple,consume covering part with pulp of fruit)

Diabetic can eat only four fruits Papaya,Guava,Apple and Citrus fruit like orange etc.to manage diabetes.

I forget 2 say,that one should AVOID CITRUS Fruits having JOINT PAINS.

Melons, Papaya,Apple (No Juice)

Avoid Banana, Chikkoo, Mango,Jack fruit, Grapes

Hi ,

Fruits contents Fructose . Water Melon , Papaya , Apple

can solve your desire for consuming fruits , but it must be always

little . Do not consume the whole papeya , as it will increase your

glucose . You consult your dietcian or your Doctor , who can guide you .

Always consume little piece of the fruit but not the whole fruit.

I think all the above are good answers. However I feel fruits should be encouraged if they help you to reduce the intake of carbohydrates. For example, instead of a breakfast of parathas or bread, if you have a moderate glass of orange juice, it is certainly beneficial because it does not contain fats it gives you vitamins and fibres...

I think your suggestion is good for breakfast instead Parathas and bread orange but not glass of orange. Without of juice orange just to eat in fresh.

Very essential for diabetic patients is the fruit Jam(like black berry) and this is the season for it. The seed of this if dried, ground and if taken on empty stomach is very helpful. Other fruits such as Apple, Star apple, Mosambi , Grapefruit(other citrus fruits consumption should be controlled), Ripe Guava, Water Melon, Ripe Pappya, Cucumber(can be taken whenever feeling like taking a munch) All pulpy fruits like Pineapple, Mango, Banana to be strictly avoided. Fruits having direct glucose should not be even sighted(grapes, annar, dates, etc) Fruits should be well chewed rather than consuming the juice diect.

It isbetter to consume fresh fruits like apple papyta,citrus fruits but moderately and keeps stoolmotion.But more important are dry fruits as almonds and walnuts.They decrease blood sugar.One banana can be had per day as it is good for calcium
