I have a news from a doctor , who is diabetes specialist at Delhi that Stem Cell therapy may cure the diabetes. He said that some of patients have been benefited and living normal life.

There is no permanent cure.One has to control by diet regulations,exercise,medicine etc.
There is NO cure for diabetes. It is a progressive disorder. The starting is much before we diagnose atleast 5-8 years before it gets diagnosed. Once you get you can control by medications only. All studies prove one point that following diet and exercise is by a very less percentage of people.
Why dont we have an anual medical check up,sir !!!
It is advisable to have a check up atleast once a year from the age of 30 onwards. One needs to detect early and control to have a normal life. Maintaining a HBA1c less than 7 will protect from any complications of diabetes. Most of the time we check the fasting. It is better to check the post prandial since that will give an indication of the impaired glucose tolerance the body has and it is a marker that in a few years full blown diabetes will be detected.
good control is definitely possible. there are recent reports about transplants-still very preliminary.
Would highly recommend Dr Bernstein's " Diabetes Solutions" 2011 edition for a very different approach to diabetes control.

I have under-taken stem-cell therapy from mumbai. It was a like a small-operation. After the therapy, my sugar levels came down a lot. but that was only for couple of months. Later they became normal as before.

Stem cell therapy offers cure not only for diabetes but for chronic diseases like cardiac diseases as reported by medical magazines two/three years back. The tragedy is our maternary hospitals are equipped with facilities of preserving the stem-cells except a dozen hospitals all over the country. As I understand stem-cells are to taken from Thoppul Kodi in tamil ie. the stem from the mother's womb connecting the newborn are cut and preserved.
