Banana has lot of nutrients including pottassium. I think Banana is OK if taken in moderation say half a banana or a smaller one. As a matter of fact it will held if it is taken as a midmorning snack.

Banana is strictly not allowed for diabetics despite the nutrients. Two other fruits that my doctors have asked me not to touch are dates and mangoes.

If you are under insulin therapy, you can eat one or two bananas. All other fruits may be consumed at a reduced quantity or in moderation.(One fruit per day).
