Hi dvrbizz ,

Has your doctor suggested that you use a CGM for tighter blood sugar control?

Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) is an FDA-approved wearable device that provides real-time glucose readings every five minutes. According to Dexcom, the Dexcom G6's transmitter and sensor are water-resistant for up to 24 hours and a depth of up to eight feet of water. It is currently the most water-resistant CGM on the market. Dexcom G6 Subscription costs $299 each month and is billed automatically to your credit card.

It is more beneficial to type 1 diabetic patients. A layman can't afford such a device.

Medicare covers therapeutic continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and related supplies instead of blood sugar monitors for making diabetes treatment decisions, like changes in diet and insulin dosage.

The G6 is also used for type 2s who are also on insulin shots along with pills for blood sugar control.

I am on that program. It is indeed beneficial for control with out medicine.

CGM monitoring, nutritional counselling, diet, basic fitness, sleep all go together with the program.

LCHF put to action here.

7 months without Metform.

All the best!
