Fasting sugar normal but rises before breakfast

My sugar level for fasting at 7.30 is about 90-100 but within an hour at about 8.30 without eating anything it shoots to 170-180. I am on insulin since 22 years but this is strange for me. Any advise

Please record your daily/ hourly readings for one week, if this is possible and discuss it with your doctor/specialist to review medication.

Have observed this for more than a week and has happened to me for several months now. Could this be related to metabolism or hormonal response?

I am afraid I am unable to answer your question, as mentioned earlier you need to see doctor.!!!!

When you initiate exercise, your body releases stress hormones, which can briefly raise your blood sugar. If you have diabetes and your body doesn't manage blood sugar well, it can increase too much during the first half hour of exercise before it begins to lower-----

from google

Kriya , please let us know what you did during that one hour gap? Did you do a workout?

As rightly ask by Barani , what do you do between 7.30 to 8.30 AM...

And whether you are type 1 or type 2...

Most Diabetes in empty stomach if they do physical exercise, the blood sugar goes high....

But your spike is too high...
