It is definitely a good news for all T1's that the inverse vaccine has reached its stage 1 clinical trial.... and so thanks for posting this.

A Ray of Hope from the City of Hope...

Had seen this news in 2013 as a concept....link attached....

It is good to target the beta cells towards immuno modulation in stead of systemic immuno suppression...

However, there is another research going on which has shown promising result on T1 diabetes is a well known and well tried BCG vaccination against Tuberculosis..... In use in human beings since more than 100 years...... With two vaccinations initially, was effective for 8 years tried on 54 T1's....

This was published in 2018, link attached below .....but we need to find out the progress of this research as of today....
