If ever I am feeling run down or beginning to suffer from a cold, my blood sugar also increases slightly. Over the ten years I have suffered with this, I have also found that if working had in the garden (back yard) or over normal strenuous exercises, again my BS will rise.

Any kind of disturbance either physically or psychologically may cause spikes in sugar levels.For example, sickness,skipping usual exercises,irregular meal timings,anxiety,stress etc may cause sugar level spikes

You recieved geat feedback allof this this very true. With time you will find a pattern of things that trigger you. Some days more than others some times it can be weather dependant.

The reply of Mr Ramana 42 is correct.stress, strain,sleep disturbance and some viral attack such as cold enhances suger level.
