Hello Hidden ,

Sorry to hear about your condition. This being a community for Diabetes, it is highly unlikely that you will get a suitable reply. In my opinion, joining British Heart Foundation will be more appropriate for you. Below is the link:

Acenocoumarol is an anticoagulant that functions as a vitamin K antagonist (like warfarin). It is a derivative of coumarin and is generic.

If you are taking warfarin to prevent blood clots, your provider will most likely choose to keep your INR between 2.0 and 3.0

The risk of death or serious complications from aortic valve replacement is typically quoted as being between 1-3%, depending on the health and age of the patient. Mechanical heart valves do not fail often. However, blood clots can develop on them. If a blood clot forms, you may have a stroke. Bleeding can occur, but this is rare.

Older patients, as well as those who are frail and/or have multiple comorbidities (i.e. other health problems), may face significantly higher surgical risk.

I could not give you a detailed reply yesterday due to slow internet or server failure.

Follow heart healthy diet. Consult your cardiologist periodically with INR test report.
