Diabetes ignored!!

deevige profile image

Hba1c is 12.4. The ppbs was 625 almost three years back.

Not medicated. No medicine along with no yoga.

What happens to that person?

Hi deevige ,

When was your last doctor's appointment with the Endocrinologist? If it was recent, they should have done a new and more current A1c test. What has your blood sugars been lately (100-200)? What do you eat for each meal and snack? Have you been counting carbs.?

Google search or use search function on this web page for diabetic complications. It is extremely critical.

diabetes.webmd.com/video/ka...

Also,open the above link.

deevige profile image
deevige in reply to ramana42

But most symptoms says the person must be extremely critical by three years!!!

deevige profile image
deevige in reply to deevige

If I'm not wrong if we ignore diabetes for 3 years

These things must happen 1. Kidney problems

2.Blurred vision

3.Sweating

4. thirsty

am I right ??

ramana42 profile image

Point is,there is no option in this matter because things happen differently for different people. And,the damages that may be caused are rather irrevesible in nature .So, why take chances?Personally,I would not take such a chance.

Some body must bell the cat

One person must take rescue at least one person must have courage to fight ! So I've decided to fight from 12.4 hba1c three years back and now it must be around 7! No medicines !!! No yoga !!!!

I'm not against medicines but I don't trust the medicines , according to me our body can fight diseases like diabetes

If I die due to ignorance of medication I will be a bad example to this world !

If I servive I will a an example to this world ! How to lead life without medication for diabetes

How many more years, more months, more days I will be alive I don't know but till today I'm happy I'm confident I'm comfortable

I'm sure people who are taking insulin everyday ,will not live for 1000 years !

If my case is a good one I would like to share some of my experience as a patient of diabetes without medication

One last note ....

I'm normal but , not tested ( I thought it is not needed )

Almost all the symptoms of diabetes is absent !

nyonyo profile image

And no one who doesn't take insulin will live 1000 years either, even the one wihout diabetes and has billions of dollars

suramo profile image

Take your call with complete understanding. Can we fly? What if we are firm that we'll fly instead of walking? Can we eat meat raw / uncooked? What if we decide to eat protein only uncooked like wild animals? The grave complications of diabetes is not death but renal failure and dialysis and the worst is paralysis. You are not the only one to play with this fire. There are / were many. Please know what happened to them. It's not the courage but sanity / wisdom. One can tame a wild animal but not diabetes by flamboyant attitude.

Respected sir

I completely respect your words

Please answer my questions

1. If not medicated hba1c must not come down why is it not happening with me ?

2.in spite of taking medicines why most of patients are becoming weak 3.in spite of taking insulin for years why the dosage is increased over years

suramo profile image
suramoStar in reply to deevige

1) one has to look into the profile. Height.Weight.Age.Gender.Dietary habits.Science is almost never wrong but we are. Not understanding the suitable diet may be the cause. And we are talking about primary diabetes and not the diabetes associated with some other condition. A1c comes down with idm.

2) diabetes is not a disease in itself. So drugs are not the treatment. Drugs try to help clear glucose by various ways but it's our inability to process carbs effectively and efficiently.

3) t2d are hyperinsulinemic. They have more than required insulin in their blood. Giving external insulin increases IR. That's why insulin doses need to be increased.A time comes when IR is so high that nothing works.

The only and sure shot remedy is idm.Post us your diet and we may be able to work out something for you.

Hi Deevige I personally agree with Suramo. I am also a patient of type 2 diabetes for the last 15 to 20 years. In the year 2011 I had to undergo amputation of my left major toe because of gangerine due to diabetes. Then in the year 2015 I had to undergo byepass surgery. All this I had to undergo even though I had been taking medicines. Imagine what would have been my condition had I not been taking medicines.

in reply to sattu1959

Taking medicin did not help you?

sattu1959 profile image
sattu1959 in reply to

Not that taking medicines did not help me. What I mean is that had I not been taking medicines my condition would have been worst. It was the medicines and the precautions that I took on my doctors advice that I survived all these problems.

in reply to sattu1959

what I mean is you had the complications even with the intake of medicines.

sattu1959 profile image
sattu1959 in reply to

What I meant to say is that diabetes is a silent killer. If the medicines are not taken and precautions not taken properly and regularly my condition would have been worst. Since I had been taking medicines and taking all precautions as per my doctors advice that I survived all these problems.

Point to be noted is,medical research is not something that can be attempted individually, particularly on self.It is expensive, long drawn and life times might pass before results are established. It is mostly attempted step by step and always based on earlier proven knowledge.Otherwise,we will be playing with lives like it happened with Thalassemia.Let us keep our minds open and build on what is already proven.

deevige profile image
deevige

I trust i respect the research i do agree with it !

let us have this test !

Most of you will have diabetes testing machine right?

test your blood at a gap of 4 minutes difference and see the change!

test your blood simultaneously both hands and see the change !

i request you to try this at least once

according the rule book of diabetes i must have died by this time or atleast i must have gone to coma or paralysis ! (ignored for 3 years HBAIC 12.4 )

how is it possible to have no symptoms of it now?

(may be suddenly if it attacks my vital parts let us see !)

but one thing is true i might have a shorter life than all of you

(according to me death= inactiveness of body like paralysis etc)

i may live only for few months or years !

but sure that i will enjoy each and every minute of my life having beatiful meals everyday without fear of diabetes

if im alive even after 7-8 years like what i am today i think i will live for at least 70 years now i am 43

i will be good or worst example of a diabetes patient

why am i like this ?why dont i follow regular medicines ?

Reason : I dont trust medicines i dont have faith in these doctors

but have huge will power and have lot of faith on myself

call me mad call me arogant whatever let us see what happens !

but even i had some symptoms almost 6 months back

i will tell you some time later

Diabetes is a disorder only and there is no need to take medicine . In the case of diabetes food is the medicine . If one stops the food items which spike the sugar levels , the disorder gets corrected .

Hello deevige ,

It is very good that you have resolved your conditions without medications. If you want to share your experience, why don't you do it in a positive way ? Just describe your experience and let others benefit, if possible. Everybody will be interested in knowing your approach to resolving this disorder.

At the moment, the tone of your posting does not reflect that. It seems you want others to react fiercely and engage in discussion in a controversial way.

Regarding your query why did you not suffer any serious complications despite these high blood sugar levels for an extended period, it should be addressed to medical professionals. You are expecting from us - answers to such complex conditions by giving limited information. Even a medical professional will need to test your conditions before giving his comments.

Please be positive and let us know your radical new approach.

im 44 year male height 5'11' it was during 2016 may i started getting tired too much of urination and restlessness i guessed that i must be diabetic

and i managed in my family without expressing it

my mother noticed that i was becoming thin

my weight started falling down i came down to 72 kgs from 78 kgs without walking or excecises

(date exactly i dont remember )on 30 july 2016 i was forced by my family to go to diacon hospital rajajinagar for testing

i was diagnised as dabetic and ppbs 625 fbs 425 for HB1C 12.4

doctor was shocked to see this and suggested me to be on insulin for 3 times per day (injection) and suggested some food some yoga some excercises

believe it or not i was told to live like a yogi !!

I always use to tell to my friends and students i am born to eat !

how can you expect me to live without proper food ?

no sweets no coffee no tea no rice no idly !!!!

i laughed at that menu , my mother and my wife were weeping (! as usual ! )

on 2nd august i wrote my death note

clearly mentioning partition of my earnings and and my wishes !

i planned methods of ending my life various ways

I went to gokul veg in rajajinagar had a complete meal and came home and started thinking

my wife suggested me to take tablets she cried and wept and convinved me to take tablets i took it on day one and on day two i was adament about taking tablets

she went to jindal naturopathy and convinved the hospital authorities to get me a seat for 10 days treatment i joined on august 5 2016 to jindal for 10 days treatment

i joined jindal naturopathy on 10 august 2016 (not on 5 august) and met dr sandeep whom i considered as gem of a person he suggested me yoga pranayama swimming excecise and most importantly massage also he suggested same english maedicines for few days i agreed to take and intensionally i started skipping tablets

i decided to enjoy these 10 days shedding all my tension and not taking medicines

i took all possible massages and enjoyed life at jindal till 21 august

i ate as much food as possiible (of cource not following rules )

in jindal food is strict rules are strict but somehow i used to get more food

i never followed any yoga laughing excecise pranyama but used to go for walking for 4 kms inside campus and enjoyed life there

By the time i came out of jindal my hba1c was 10.6 !

surprasingly !!!

i thought i can servive without medicines

my mother my wife my staff and my students in particular (i own a small pvt ltd company) all started caring for me like a child (i am lucky in this )

started eating some special food made from my people with minimum rice more fruits more green vegitables (i am 100% vegitarian) and i purchased a duabetic meter for ppbs and fbs to test every day for two months i was regularly checking it !

you belive it or not my HBa1c started coming down it was showing some where 9, 8.6 by three months !!

i started feeling the victory against diabetes

i started feeling that i won against it !

i continued for two more months and i tested during 2017 febraury

@ sanjeevini hospital mahalaxmi layout (Dr subash was my friend) mahalaxmi diognosis and coulubia asia (sent through mahalaxmi diagnosis Mahalaxmi layout) it was 5.9!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought i won and i started to enjoy food ignored all walking started preaching people about diabetes as if i have done pHd in that !

next 3 months i got another shock i will write about it later !

I read your reply describing your experience on being diagnosed Diabetic. I found it very absorbing and I guess others will find it same. I believe your reply is not complete. Right? Please let us know what happened next? Did your conditions reverse at Jindal Naturecure Institute, Bangalore? What kind of treatment you received there?

By the way, I feel little nostalgic hearing about Gokul Veg at Rajajinagar where we used to go while in B'lore.

That is very good deevige . You have been managing your diabetes through diet, home-made supplements and some exercise and NO medicines. That is what most of us in this forum advocate. Diet is the first line of action followed by some physical activities. Medicines/insulin are the last resort. Personally my numbers have never been as high as yours but I have been managing blood sugar levels in non-diabetic range following low carb diet plan without any medicines.

Your posting conveyed a different message in the beginning - DIABETES CAN BE IGNORED. Which is not what you meant. May be medicines can be ignored but not diabetes.

By the way, what is your current FBS, PP and HbA1c?

deevige profile image
deevige in reply to Praveen55

i have not checked it yet since three months

but i had gone through these symptoms during the process (almost december 2017) 1) blurred vision ! i use spectacles for short sightedness with -1.5 but i tested it around decmber i found it was -2.75 i purchsed glass also !

but slowly by three months later i found some uncomfortablity in using spects with -2.75 i tested it again i found my vision was agian -1.5

2) burning sensation in palms

3] numbness in fingers and toes

but it was not permanent

i thought of taking medicines but avoided it !

its ok now !!

i am comfortable !

thank you

deevige profile image
deevige in reply to Praveen55

i completetly agree with you

i never meant DIABETES CAN BE IGNORED.

May be medicines can be ignored but not diabetes.

but i advocate that diabetes is not a big problem

it is not a devil

you can enjoy your life but must be optimistic
