Is there any laboratory test for insulin in blood how to know our bodies produce less or more insulin? And how we can understand that our bodies resisting against insulin or less produce insulin

Hhhhh thanks as I am new diagnosed T2 less then a year and currently searching and learning about diabetes, that why i ask some question in order to know better and truths because there is lots of things people says but understanding best path is necessary.

Please undergo Insulin C Peptide test. C-peptide is measured to tell the difference between insulin the body produces and insulin someone injects into their body.

Someone with type 1 or type 2 diabetes may have their C-peptide level measured to see if their body is still producing any insulin. It may also be measured in cases of low blood sugar to see if the person's body is producing too much insulin.

A normal result 0.5 to 2.0 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL). People with type 2 diabetes, obesity, and insulin resistance may have a high C-peptide level that is normal for them.

Beta cells of pancreas produce an insulin hormone. It contains 50% insulin and 50% C-peptide (by-product). Actually there is no test for measuring insulin. But the quantity of insulin is approximately estimated by measuring C-peptide.

A two-hour glucose tolerance test can help detect high insulin levels. This test measures not only glucose but also insulin levels, yet doctors rarely order it. Instead, they usually don't express concern until blood sugar is over 110 or worse, over 126, which is diabetes.

If your body is resistant to insulin, it means you need high levels of insulin to keep your blood sugar normal. Certain medical conditions such as being overweight or having PCOS can cause insulin resistance.
