Anti depressant and sugar link

I m 31 recently I checked my sugar n it was 165 empty stomach 145 next day n 138 today ...I just want to know that I take oloft 50 mg an antidepressant ...Is these high sugar levels are becoz of anti depressants or am I or m ifarr diabetic now plz reply

Depression has a definite role in diabetes management.It was my personal experience.When I stopped taking medicine HbA1c slowly crept up from 6.4 to more than 7.Discuss with your doctor.Personally,I would not stop the medicine unless you are out o depression or your diabetes management is too good.

I am sharing my experience.I stopped anti depressant a during the course of next year,HbA1c slowly crept up. This was about six years ago and I do not have the records.Sugar level came down again after I restarted anti depressant.By any chance do you hava sleeping problems?That is another reason for sugar spike.

Yaah I do have sleeping problems n I worry for my kids as they r only 8 n 5 as I m scared of depression n I m on effex xr 150mg again becoz of my recurrence depression n suddenly after two months my blood sugar was 165 empty stomach then 138 n today it was 154 empty stomach I m diiabetic I gue$s I 31 years old
