  • May I ask which ayurvedic medicine???

  • Yes it is sugar away . Available on

  • yeah visited the site and searched for medicine... it says it contains..Gudmar, Jamun, Dalchini, Karala and Kutki etc.... besides this they may be adding something which is not kown to us...

However for some ppl legumes tend to increase uric acid..

to control sugar you need to restrict your carbs ..why not replace legumes with low carb vegetables and check again??

  • I got my eyes checked. The doctor did fundoscopy and told me it is fine. However If I get a spike in sugar level then I get burning sensation in the eyes. Also sometimes I see white dots also. My feet are little swollen in the evening. My doctor has advised me to take metaformin 500 mg after dinner. However I have not yet started it.

  • plz start is safest....also start B12 supplements.. and go for low carb diet...

  • How is daonil 5mg

  • Daonil contains Glibenclamide

    plz read information carefully..

may be gangadharan_nair will be more helpful for you in this matter...

But I think metformin is more safe...

  • Congratulations ! Great job lowering A1C .. Which Ayurvedic Medicine are you taking ?

    Just wondering -- diagnosed only 2 months ago - with A1C of 11.1 % ?

If yes- then need to see eye specialist for retinopathy and nepropathologist for kidney damage.

make sure -to check carbs in fruits you eat . Never drink fruit juice. and eat only half fruit

at one time - specially banana, apple, mango etc

I assume - your doctor did NOT prescribe any medicine.

Your Uric Acid is just on border line -high NOT too excessive. It should be less than 7.0. It is good that you tested and find out early. First drink more water - you must drink enough water to pass 3 liters of urine every day. We just had a Doctor from India - who runs a non profit Kidney hospital at Rajkot ( Gujarat) - gave a nice presentation on Kidney Damage prevention--

yesterday as part of our monthly meetings for 60 Plus ( Gujarati Seniors )

"" Drinking enough fluid will reduce the concentration of stone-forming minerals in the urine by diluting it. The goal is to drink at least 10 full glasses of fluid each day (at least half should be water) in order to produce over 2 quarts of urine on a daily basis. The average daily output of urine is about 1½ quarts, so this is somewhat higher. """

Have you done blood tests fro kidney function ? eGFR, creatinine etc - ask doctor

Are you obese ? do you take aspirin or other blood thinner medicine ?

Do you drink alcohol ? do you take Niacin ( Vitamin B3 ) for cholesterol ?

have you done thyroid test ( blood ) ?

    Check for kidney stone ?

"" Dairy connection: Research has shown that milk and yogurt consumption can lower serum uric acid levels. In one study, those who consumed milk one or more times per day had a lower serum uric acid level than did those who did not drink milk. Similarly, those who consumed yogurt at least once every other day had a lower serum uric acid level than did those who did not consume yogurt. ""

make sure to check- estimate your micro nutrients of what you eat. May be you are

    eating too much protein.

    Apple Cider Vinegar :

    1. Add one teaspoon of raw, organic, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar to a glass of water.

    2. Drink this solution two or three times a day.

You can gradually increase the amount of apple cider vinegar up to two tablespoons per glass of water and continue this remedy until your uric acid levels come down.

Note: Do not take apple cider vinegar in excess as it may decrease potassium levels in the body.

Also, it may interfere with diuretic drugs.

I overall health check-up. Lipid is fine. Liver is fine.

  • You did NOT read it write. You should drink milk or eat yogurt.

  • A small amount of uric acid passes out of the body in stool. But if too much uric acid is being produced or if the kidneys are not able to remove it from the blood normally, the level of uric acid in the blood increases. High levels of uric acid in the blood can cause solid crystals to form within joints.

Most of the time, a high uric acid level occurs when your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid efficiently. Things that may cause this slow-down in the removal of uric acid include rich foods, being overweight, having diabetes, taking certain diuretics (sometimes called water pills) and drinking too much alcohol. Other less common causes are a diet high in purine- Purine-rich diet — liver, game meat, anchovies, sardines, gravy, dried beans and peas, mushrooms, and other foods containing above items or your body producing too much uric acid.

Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood ialso include:

    •Genetics (inherited tendencies)

    •Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)

    •Immune-suppressing drugs

    •Niacin, or vitamin B-3

  • Hi Alok , replace Palak / Spinach from your smoothi instead use other green leafs

  • is capsicum ok.

  • Be careful about hoping to be satisfactorily treated by Ayurvedic doctors. I am a diabetic for 35 years now, and I do not take any ayurvedic treatment. My sugar levels, checked at home twice a day, twice a week, for years, has been within normal range in recent years. I depend on allopathic medication, including insulin injection, diet control, and some exercise. My lunch includes a bowl of curds and one spoon of Pathanjali honey. My HbA1c has come down to 6.5 from the 9.5 earlier.

  • still something NOT right. Taking insulin and medicine ?

Should check BS more than twice a week. At least for one week - check five or six times a day. Specially before and after meals --for spikes.

Do you know how long you had A1C of 9.5 ? May have damaged eyes or kidney-- check out with specialist.

  • 6.5 isn't normal.

  • 6.5 is too high. We aim for 5.6 or lower.

  • On 18th July 2017 my Serum Uric Acid registered @ 5.6 (from 4.4 earlier) and HbA1c 6.6 (from 8.0 earlier) My blood urea however remains high @ between 80 and 100.

  • Eliminate fruits
