I am new here. my age is 51 and having diabetics type 2 for the past 5 yrs. For the first two yrs I could control with metformin alone (500mg) after 2 yrs I could not control. Glimipride, Sitagliptin, Voglibose are of no use. Doctor prescribed piglitazone(Tripride).It helped to reduce Blood sugar but caused weight gain. So I stopped using it. Now I am taking 12 units of insulin day&night along with metformin 500 mg & glimipride 1mg and having sustained sugar level of 220(F) &260(PP) for the past 2yrs. I think LCHF may help with alternative medicine.Any suggestions?
