Hi , What are the names of clinics in India, where Stem cell treatment is being offered in India.

Well the stem cell therapy is based on belief that it's bc failure that is responsible for D. But in face of ir now stem cell therapy must be reviewed. Because stem cell therapy can revive bc but what about clearing ir. The whole blood cells lineage can be changed by bone marrow transplant but how can the whole body genome be changed ? So at present stem cell therapy should be viewed with suspicion. It's a big scam and unethical on the part of medical fraternity to take exorbitant charges for the treatment -stem cell therapy - that doesn't give convincing results.

What are they charging? Here it's around 3 lakhs. Don't know if they have increased charges.

Stem cell therapy addresses the basic defect. It can bring cure, not reversal. But can be successful only when only beta cells have died or become dysfunctional. The stem cell therapy at present is not successful because

1) when tried in t2d it fails to address IR and

2) we are still technically poor.

When we will be able to plant autologus or homo / heterologus stem cells into the pancreas it will bring cure for t1d and people like shrisamarth who have partially failed beta cells and no IR.
