hi, i eat my lunch with metformin 500mg. at one hour my blood sugar is 150 but at 2 hours my blood sugar is 109 how bad am i? i am prediabitic doing regular exercise. my hba1c is 5.8. no triglycerides no cholesterol.

I would say that you are doing well.Continue what you are doing,but add some regular exercise to your routine.See that you do not put on any weight and keep monitoring regularly.

A normal A1C is considered 5.6 or lower.

A 109 2 hours after eating is acceptable and high normal.

A low carbohydrate high fat diet would get you to normal sugar levels within 3 days. Start googling "lchf" & "ketogenic " on youtube. Check out videos by Dr Jason fung, and Jeff Volek (spelling).

You want to be under 140 two hours after eating. A 109 is really good!!!!
