last some days my husband's sugar level after meal shoots up 160 to 200 and fasting sugar level is 90 to 92 without medicine.His HBA1C result is 5.3.Is he diabetic?

5.3 is not diabetic.

FBS 90/92 is fair enough.

PPBS is an early sign of IMPENDING problem.

Though some ADA followers here believe that only FBS is to be considered, but I am talking as a Diabetic who has learned from all "SELF EDUCATED" diabetics around the world that abnormal PPBS is an early sign of troubles ahead, and 160-200 is not normal by any means. If the results are reproducible, then A1C will rise in due course for sure. For us, anything above 5.6 is diabetic. We don't believe in pre-diabetes. It's either normal or diabetic.

A Non Diabetic will never shoot beyond 140 (normally it's around 120). 160-200 is an early warning. What is his LIPIDS?

If you believe the general advise that's given here for these readings based on ADA manuals, you can be sure that within 5 years he will be full blown diabetic. Some are just promoting ADA and Mayo and it seems they have no personal experience to share.

How much personal experience do you have with LCHF diet?

If NONE, then I don't think anyone should take your opinion on LCHF very seriously, because Experience is First teacher, as mottu123 said to you on LW thread. Your understanding of LCHF is zero because of ZERO experience.

Despite your repeated pleas, diabetics are switching to LCHF diet and enjoying great health even without losing a pound of weight. Drugs come down, lipids improve and people hit A1C that can only be dreamt of on ADA + Drugs regimen. That regimen has made diabetes a progressive disorder.

LCHF is not White Powder for those who live by it. For those who know absolutely nothing about LCHF because of no personal experience, it is white powder. You surely cannot defy medical reports with your factually WRONG OPINION.

Where's your PROOF about LCHF spoiling health. Your opinions cannot be proof. I am surprised that 160-200 is considered nothing to worry about by you. Are you really a diabetic? Looks like that you want every early warning patient to be a full blown diabetic very fast. Nothing can be more damaging than that.

And, BTW LCHF wasn't even mentioned anywhere in this thread ...

If advises are unauthorized (many are doctors with a valid degree) , at least in USA they would have been jailed. So that's again just yet another factually incorrect OPINION.

Please repeat the blood sugar tests. Fasting bs after 8-10 hours of fast ( fasting not exceeding 16 hours) and ppbs 2 hours after 75 gm of glucose. Please also note that if he is ill or sick ,do not go for blood sugar tests as it will give wrong result.

If he is getting these levels repeatedly with normal meals then it should not be ignored otherwise there are chances of becoming full blown diabetic.

Normal person's blood sugar never goes above 120 after meals.

He is 5.7" tall with 85kg .What is long wheat diet..in pakistan we use whole wheat chapati.
