Mr mahesh recommendations are very good

Three more things to do

1 no potatoes

2 eat chick pea powder (besan)

3 sprouts of all dals and black Chana is very filling

With lots of lemon juice

Add any spices of onions

600 calories is less than BMR requirements.

@kcl dear sir., all your suggestion is good. what i cannot understand is 0.9 times height in inches for males , how can we use that formula? bcos as what i read somewhere 3 types of skeleton structures are present in humans. endo, meso and something. i forgot. we cannot apply that general formula for all, depending on shoulder width, the weight will vary, isnt it?

This will work for few overweight people. Such starvation diets have severe consequences than benefit.

This diet can not be recommended blindly.

There are better ways to reduce BS and weight.

gone thru the replies appears to me 600kcal diet is totally theoretical as diabetic is very common lot of young and wkg people is having 600kcal may suits to the people living at home or having severe health problem

@Kclvbn.. dear sir., is this 600kcal lesser than basic metabolic rate requirement? your suggestion of low calorie and green leaf is well taken but the number crunching is somehow not understandable.

@cscon --

Yes I was damn sure when I posted that 800 kcal figure. Have gone through details posted by you to elucidate the same from original source document.

So, let's see if the person who insulted me apologizes on being proved that his statement was nothing but factually INCORRECT.

He is overlooking the explanation given in the link provided by him. :)

diabetes.co.uk/diet/newcast...

---The diet was predominantly based around:

Optifast meal replacement sachets, which provided 75% of the calories (600 cals)

The other 200 calories came from non-starchy vegetables.

Note: The diet is referred to as the 600 calorie diet (rather than the 800 calorie diet) due to the meal replacement aspect of the diet totalling 600 calories.

@shrisamarth -- He will keep SILENT as usual now on this topic, now that he knows he spoke too soon, without even understanding what's written there. He often overlooks explanations :)
