hi i am as above stage 3b ckd my dr said my gfr is 37 and creatinine is 125 but when i try to find out if this level is high or low it appears that creatinine is in percentages so i have no idea what it is can anyone help with this thanks angela

thankyou very much but can i ask is my level of 125 high or low i have also had an iron infusion hb level 104 is this low as well thanks again angela

Creatinine is always in mg/dl and not in percentage.The normal level is 0.6 to 1.2.GFR or eGFR(Estimated GFR through formula,depending upon male/female,asian/or other,and most importantly age.)This value is expressed in Percentage and shows filteration rate of Kidney.

Your creatinine value as mentioned seems wrong.Either it is 12.5 or 1.25.Please just check.Generally creatinine value shoots up if you have any infection.Its better to have medical check up.

thankyou very much i thought it was wrong i will get the correct answer next week when i see my gp my gfr is definatly 38 but other figure must be wrong thanks again angela

thankyou i am female age 63 hd protein leaking from kidnesy for about 2 years then it droped from 52 to 37 gfr in months BS is fine far as i know BP was high but medication corrected it is now low side HB is low dr said 104 been on iron infusion got to wait 2 more weeks to re test blood see if it has worked that is about all i can tell you at the mo thanks very much angela ps i know we loose 1percent a year kidney function after age 40

my gp siad my gfr should be 60 percent at my age as mine is down to 37 which puts me at stage 3b ckd hope this helps also i am now having iron infusions as i am anemic

also i am worried as i have a slow leaking heart valve i am woried if this will get worse

hi again my BP is 94/50 is this to low as you know i have CKD stage 3b thanks angela
