i have given a reply to mr. raghvendra which is reproduced below. can anybody edit it.
this i do because it is a trend among many members here to quote any doctor and make it a recomendation like "carbohydrates are carcinogenic".
here is the text
with due respect for you ,
i would like to say:
an mbbs md doctor is the lowest in the hierarchy of medical science people.
level 1= practitioner level
mbbs md practising doctors, including other people like nurses farmacists and all the similar people
medicine men who are phds
who have invented, discovered some medicine or medical method
the person who found out that a1c molecule attaches to glucose --
later someone points out that hba1c can be used to measure the average glucose.
if someone makes such a discovery he is given a phd.
how can a practising doctor, just, be more competent to talk on the hba1c better than the people who made this innovation.
men who are nobel prize winners or nearby.
dr branding and best who discoverd insulin.
hargovind khorana -- DNA
Linus puling.-twice nobel prize
Watson and crick
Discovery of DNA Double Helix: Watson and Crick
i will also mention metchnikkoff=nobel prize'..
[excuse me the spelling]
his bacterium bulgaricus could not live in intestine- proved later.
pauling= vitamin c- has gone into oblivion.this i say to emphasise that even great men are prone to error.
even now living with us ,there are people of this level .
where are they gone?
they are in the laboratories of the universities.
it is level 2 and 3 that
decides the recomendations in medical matters.
are you going to say ?
susrutha and charaka or sidhanagarjunan,or
Louis Pasteur are to be equated to a practicing doctor.
ask any doctor --they will tell you :
they do not recomend.they just follow the world health organisation and ada or ida.
it comes from the top. dont be surprised.
it is true,.
you have to excuse me, if i do not read all other responses.
