Insufficient data to arrive at definite conclusion.but it appears that you have become resistant to insulin.Your diet may not be proper for a diabetic.May be you are leading a sedentary life or might be combination of all.

Your endocrinologist may need to revisit your dose. Most probably, the insulin type is unsuitable & also likely that your carbohydrate food load is very high. Go for a better doctor in a reputed medical institution. With so much of insulin pumping, this should not be the case. Check with your doctor.

Dear Yogeshwar, It is quite confusing. The data is absolutely insufficient. However I know my one or two friends have suffered with similar situations and even got admitted to the hospital and even in hospital with insulin therapy the sugar level never came down , but came down after ten or fifteen days.Hence I suggest to adopt immediately LCHF regimen and consult a good diabetician

Same problem I faced when my mother's PP used to be high enough (450+) after 2 hrs. of meal and rapidly drop to 40-50 after 5-6 hrs. Over the past few years, I consulted many doctors but no one could explain the real reason and every time they came out with changed medicines and charged heavy fee..

I then decided to act myself and find out the actual reason and ways to overcome it. I finally succeed to do so by studying different types of injectable insulin with details about onset (the length of time before insulin reaches the bloodstream and begins to lower blood sugar), peak (the time period when the insulin is the most effective in lowering blood sugar) and duration (how long insulin continues to lower blood sugar). I corrected the timing of insulin intake from 15 minutes to 1 hour to match the peak level of insulin and timing of partially digested food. The results were very much satisfying. It is frustrating that doctors never explain these important things to their patients and the patients have to pay heavy price for such small ignorance. Please go through the leaflet available with your insulin medicine thoroughly and find out the type of Insulin and its peak time on the graph shown.

The following chart lists the types of injectable insulin with details about onset (the length of time before insulin reaches the bloodstream and begins to lower blood sugar), peak (the time period when the insulin is the most effective in lowering blood sugar) and duration (how long insulin continues to lower blood sugar). These three factors may vary, depending on your body's response. The final column provides some insight into the "coverage" provided by the different insulin types in relation to mealtime.

Dear India Cratus

Many thanks for your valuable inputs. This problem may be due to her old age. I appreciate your in-depth analysis of the situation and surely try your suggestion of splitting the 10-30 percent of intended meals after the insulin shot and take the rest of the meal later. I am sure, this tip will help to get the stabilization in her BS level.

Thanks once again.
