Just 1 medium whole meal slice with 1 fried egg in pure desi ghee ( home made) and a big mug of tea.

That sounds like a great breakfast! Do you have it every day or just on the weekends?

Every day

Sounds like me with my hard boiled eggs and a Greek yogurt. The only time I don't have the eggs and yogurt is when I'm on vacation and I don't have a chance to find out what the menu will be on the road. :-)

Why don't you try Dhalia, green salad and soya milk for a change?

This sounds good and cooking overnight is a great way to get everything done faster in the morning. Do you use different oats each day?

I've been doing intermittent fasting from 4 months, so- no breakfast!

Did your doctor say it was okay to do intermittent fasting?

My blood sugar is borderline D2, so I did not consult the doc. As I am feeling fine and more energetic, and my weight has gone down by 5 kgs. I continue with intermittent fasting 16-8.

How’s your A1c since you started IF?

suryakaizen profile image

I've yet to go for a check-up. Here in India each check-up is expensive (Rs.1000 at a mission hospital!) so I do it every 3 months or so.

My A1c was 7.5 at last check-up

Activity2004Administrator in reply to suryakaizen

That’s a little high, but I’m sure it will go down with the IF diet.😀👍

I will have to get some sleep tonight. I will be back tomorrow before I go to work and before a last minute doctor’s appointment in the afternoon (3 pm USA time— appointment time). Good night!😀👍😴

As someone pointed out we south Indians have different breakfast. Eggs we do not use. Pure vegetarian.

Vegetarian/Vegan dieting is good. That can help with blood sugars.😀👍

No breakefast for about 9 month. I'm still experiencing somogyi effect my blood sugar naturally wanted to hover around 5.8 to 6.2. adopting IF16/8 initially fooled the body resulted BS of 4+ for couple of month, then it creeps back to where it want to be.

So I concluded that "hormone is king"

BTW I'm a Malaysian Chinese.

I use to take 2 chapatties of gram flour mixed with green coriander leaves and onion, cooked on a non-stick tawa with a little oil. This keeps my BS at same level or there will be a slight increase. e.g. if it is 150 before breakfast, it may increase to 155 or 160 and not more than that.

UK, breakfast, microwave (2 min)porridge with milk, or brown toast with coconut oil, , it is spreadable like butter in UK. Tahani on toast. Toast with olive oil. Toast with 100% butter.

Part time working, English breakfast, eggs, bacon, and many other items, only two days a week.

Have managed to maintain my blood numbers and weight for the last 6 years. Only time will tell.

There are plenty of Yoga to activate the pancreas and cleaning can be done and overcome from diabetic Even veg is there where it will reduce the sugar level and also increase the insulin activity.
