Stem cell treats diabetis

I am diabetic,but of late i have read on the possibility of diabetis being cured by Use of stem cells treatment. Any updates on this, please?

I am sorry but I am no longer up on this subject but the last time I looked some research and treatments were going on in a Birmingham hospital or B'ham University medical school. That would be a start for you. I think stem cells are the way of the future and I wish that governments would allow these treatments. I believe that stem cells are used frequently in Germany - but that is news I read a few years ago. If you are in the US, forget it, the religious right got in on it and it is banned. Hope this not so very good news gives you some leads.
