Dexamethasone
In addition, she has been prescribed 2mg daily
dexamethasone
steroids. I'm wondering what is the difference between this drug and prednisolone?

Steroids and Radium 223
While he was on abiraterone he was taking 2mgs of
dexamethasone
, although 1mg for the last month. He’s currently taking 6mgs of prednisilone but our question is does he need to be steroid free before he can have radium 223?

Fenbendazole
He has been tinkering with different hormonal regimes, abiraterone and enzalutamide, without benefit, and has just progressed to start taking
dexamethasone
and is considering trying fenbendazole. I would be interested to hear of other peoples experience of fenbendazole ?

Good bye and good luck to you all !
I now have a major daily drug intake including
dexamethasone
(which replaces the parked 5mg maintenance prednisolone!) As I say goodbye I want to thank this site and those who have given me such wonderful support.

ITP secondary to CLL TX hi-dx dexamethasome Response
This study: 'High-dose
dexamethasone
vs prednisone for treatment of adult immune thrombocytopenia: a prospective multicenter randomized trial 2016' talks about response rates to this protocol. Has anyone had similar results to mine after the first round of dosing?

More to deal with. Early birthday gift I guess.
Caught it in time for medications, Paxlovid and
Dexamethasone
. Worst SE metallic taste all the time. Better than loss of all taste. I can overcome mettle mouth while eating savory food. Do have more the 2 gallons of soup my friends and neighbors have left for me.

Comparative costs of Pluvicto
Secondly, if I aim to be treated in April, I will have had 3 months with little treatment other than
Dexamethasone
. Does anyone recommend a holding mechanism that would halt, or at least slow, the spread of disease? As ever, many thanks, in advance!

looking for reassurance or advice
If it goes up again, I plan to ask to switch the prednisone for
dexamethasone
since I heard that sometimes helps the Abi work longer. Any other suggestions? His other bloodwork was ok except platelets and rbc were down. As always thank you to this wonderful support group.

Lepto meningeal involvement. No further treatment. Palliative radiation?
Oncologist has already put him on
dexamethasone
and, as I understand it, will discuss palliative radiation early next week. (heavens help you if anything major happens on a Friday night, which, of course, it always does.

Failing ADT
Also- should I try switching from Prednisone to
Dexamethasone
? I guess more radiation is an outside possibility but I think that train has already run as I am getting hip replacement surgery on Wednesday because the 2 previous times my hip was radiated caused necrosis (lack of blood flow).

Temozolomide Side Effects
He takes 2mg daily of
dexamethasone
which his oncologist want to reduce to 1.5mg in another weeks time. I wondered if anyone had an exacerbation of their symptoms whilst on their Chemo and if it settled down. Also did the TMZ actually help shrink anyone’s tumour or only help to stabilise it.

Similarities/difference with Waldenstroms? ?
Treatments tried;
Dexamethasone
alone several months. (Some neuropathy recovery 👍, but with side effects). 2. Rituximab alone. Effective. Neuropathy much improved, but relapse after relatively short period (3 months). Now newly started on Rituximab+ Ibrutinib.

Time it takes to kick in - prednisone vs prednisilone?
And we might try some other versions too if that doesn't make a difference (maybe
dexamethasone
or even a steroid shot). My new doctor told me that he personally doesn't get much help from prednisone, but does do well with the methyl-prednisolone form.

Good News Update on my Joe
He experiences fatigue, which is remedied by
dexamethasone
on the days he has something he wants to do. Otherwise, he sleeps. No other side effects worth mentioning at this time. I asked for PSMA and FDG (?) PET scans, and was told there is no reason to do them.

Could this be the start of neuropathy?
Due to the
Dexamethasone
before and the Prednisone since, I have been really well. In the gym most days, and eating really well. I have had no side effects - until today. It's a minor thing, but both thumbs are a little sore.
