Can you discuss stuff if its getting you down?

Totally self indulgent but here goes, I have to be self employed right now, so Im facing up to my responsibilities for a change! Im going to fold the old company ...earning zero. Start again! Which means changing web hosts for a cheaper one :-) Talking to companies house etc...And Renaming my business to start a fresh! So Im struggling with names....I'd like something with 'Bear' in it :-) But maybe Bear Spot is a bit risky...lol. What do you think?

Also I was looking up Bakelite which I love, Im a big fan of plastic...anyway seems Tony Baekeland (Grandson of the inventor) killed his mother! So now I'm starting to wonder if people who haven't been privy to too much drama in their lives seek it. Whilst the rest of us attract drama by our very being. Round the houses you say....well yes actually. My BF is a very, calm, collected man (and stunning you'd think that was good wouldn't you, but it can add to issues, I digress) anyway Im not sure he isn't looking for drama in his life (of course he would point blank denigh this) and where better to look than to someone who has had more than their fair share of drama (me!).

So

A) Good names for companies with the name Bear in them, not too long.

B) Do you think you invite drama into your life or do you think having been a product of drama attract people who look to activate it within you to enliven their own lives, Im just asking Im not sure what I think.

C) In a fight between Virginia Wolfe and Chaucer who would win.

Oh and why Bakelite well Barbara Daly Baekeland is describe as a woman who lived her life as if she was in a Hollywood drama, they said the same of Liz Taylor that she acted in her personal life as she did in her more tumultuous roles on screen.

Can I just say drama is not something I pursue nor want, a quieter life for me these days, not boring but less roller coaster please. Just and aside, what better way to know how much someone cares for you than to take them on a roller coaster emotional ride ( no I agree not necessary :-)

D) A fight between your Mum and Virgina Wolfe....whose afraid of her right!

Ok before we discuss the bear necessities, what is the business about?

Do we really have to kill someone to have the drama bit?

Or is the thinking about Wolf and Chaucer having fisty cuffs enough for the drama part?

oh, I wouldn't like Virgina's chances against my mum, she hit me over the head with a frying pan when I was 16! shes 86 now and still scares the eebgeebees out of me :-)

Honeycomb creations, making my mouth water! Drama I will avoid at all costs, but it does tend to like following me around. Virginia Wolfe any day. And my mum would win, she'd get tight lipped and very look very disapproving; it would frighten Virginia to death! Love Sam xxxxxxx

Hi Caroline I must admit that you are at a level of intelligence and wit superior to me as I don't quite get all that you say but it sounds very impressive!

I can't see anywhere where you say what your company is about so coming up with a name is a bit problematic though I did think of "Bear outline" if it's something arty or "grin and bear it" if it happened to be a dentists! (unlikely I think)

Regarding the drama thing I will have to have a think about that. I don't like drama in my life though I don't like narrow minded people either; I think it is a case of getting a balance. Life can be interesting and exciting without being too dramatic; but then I am not that spontaneous a person I think; I like my security a bit too much and can be a bit too serious for that reason; it takes all sorts Caroline. The world would be boring if we were all the same :)

You are a lovely bright spark on this forum; so just be you . Gemmalouise XX

Hello

All I understand is Bakelite.

It is a plastic type material produced for radio pieces, very hard it can crack it has an interesting taste that some at my Collage used too lick. It can be bad for your health. One piece of tech we had to use was headphones, my bins were RN/MN and the weight was to believe when I had to wear them.

Do not get addicted licking the stuff it can really ruin your day, believe me the resin used in Bakelite is better in a museum environment.

Hi

I am wondering whether you have come off meds recently as what you are writing doesn't make much sense to some of us without knowing more about you. Sorry. x

CarolineLondon profile image
CarolineLondon in reply to secondhandrose2

Ha Ha Secondhandrose, not only have I never been on meds, well unless you count the odd bout of antibiotics and the stuff I take for migraines and hayfever...lol.

No Im afraid Im always like this and somewhat surreal. In all fairness to you in part I elude to a previous post ranting about Virginia Wolfe and Too the Lighthouse, where a number of people got onboard and expanded the discussion.

Secondhandrose , I should come with a health warning! ...he hee

Thank you for trying to understand, that said I recon Im more coherent than some of than writers we discussed...ha ha

I have a friend with severe lung problems but doesn't slow down. She gets herself in such a state of distress she has collapsed in several of the shops. Another friend and I think she is a drama queen and loves the attention she gets. :)

How about 'Bear Welcome' ? Or 'Cuddly Bear'? x

Too cute for buiness Cough but I like your thinking.

Your story of your friend kind of reminds me of that advert where the woman says "oooh Ive fallen down a well" do you know the one I mean? I think its for yoghurt.
