Therapeutic blogging.......

I gave up work at the beginning of march due to anxiety and depression...

Having CBT which is helpful..

I have found not only blogging on this site, but reading others blogs very therapeutic....more importantly, when I am feeling ok, replying to blogs and answering questions has helped me to concentrate and focus...

It may sound silly but it's been a bit like having a small job, problem solving thinking about issues, looking up things, trying to help in some small way when someone is having a bad day, encouraging someone when they achieve good things...it has helped me use my brain...sometimes that just isn't easy, lack of concentration is one of the symptoms and some days it is hard to read let alone respond,

I know a lot of us feel guilty when we put on a negative blog ....but all blogs negative or positive are very helpful in lots of ways, not just for the person blogging but for the reader not only perhaps learning but empathising, answering and supporting....

I thank people for that....

I agree with all that, although I never think I write anything that is of any help to anyone!

There are certain people who seem to pop up a lot, while other people post once and not again. There are people who read but don't post, and people who only log on when they're feeling crap.

When I post a blog or question myself, getting a reply means such a lot to me. And there are particular names that I always feel so happy to see. You are one of them. I always find your blogs interesting and your responses well considered and kind. You're one of my favourite people on here.

I agree wqith all you've written and you are also one of my favourite people Suzie - there seems to be a core group of people who always manage to say something helpful and who also write freely when they (we) need help. It's a great website, I find it invaluable, especially being able to write at difficult times like 4am and know someone will write within a fairly short time. Suexx

Thank you suzie..that is really kind of you..

You certainly do and have written things that are most helpful and interesting to people...love your blogs!!

I think the good thing is the general mutual understanding and non judging....although we all are very different and individual in our reasons as to what brought us here,.we invariably do have an understanding....that is so important to us...and I believe can assist on that road to recover...

Thanks again it means a lot...

I love this site too. I don't often blog but am always interested in how people are and if I can help them in some way then that is a bonus. I have been seeing a psycholgist for sometime and am feeling pretty good at the moment.... long may it last. I felt relief at seeing someone who could help me understand how to deal with my problem. And this site is brilliant for it's support and advice. I know that you have given and helped many people on here so carry on with your good work, maybe you should study to be a counsellor. Hope your day is good. xx
