My husband appears to have gingivitis but he's not registered with a dentist,he has an app with emergency dentist but that's not for 3weeks. he's concerned that 2 of his teeth appears lose . can a GP prescribe antibiotics

Systemic antibiotics won't help in this instance . If his teeth are loose it has progressed from gingivitis to periodontitis(gum disease ). They could be possibly saved with deep scaling either by a hygienist or dentist, and good oral hygiene but its difficult to say without radiographs or probing around the teeth. Just make sure he cleans around the teeth thoroughly also using interdental rushes in between them. Don't bother with mouthwashes. He should register with a dentist asap as emergency dentist wont be able to do much unless you register with them for treatment.
