Look up the symptoms of TMJ, you will find that they all sound like Fibro symptoms, they are now dealing with my TMJ problem by putting Botox in the muscles on each side of my jaw.

I'm in Scotland 😆 TMJD is driving me insane. I've tried everything and found a botox doctor but she done it wrong, i couldn't smile at all for 3mths and it didn't help my pain 😣.

Currently have cerezen it has helped straighten my jaw but still getting aweful migraines/eye pain 😣

Wow from Scotland, my dad was born in Scotland!!! They do say if the needles are not placed in the right muscle that they won't work also if you don't get enough Botox that it won't work either. I have to go back and get more in injected it as it hasn't done anything as of yet,but I'm still hoping. They also can put Botox in the temporalis muscle's and a couple of more other places that they don't normally do, some just need all of the muscles injected to get rid of their pain .

Yup 😆 Glasgow. I've been through the mill, the incorrectly diagnosed migraine and I've had every tablet known to man, occipital nerve blocks twice, 33 injections of botox all over my skull twice, bought a tens machine, cefaly machine, took loads of vitamin combinations ... nothings worked. Magnesium citrate did help though 😆.

Yip you need loads of botox into the muscles. Have a look on utube, there's a video of docs doing botox for TMJD and they use loads 😆

I hate that in front of my ears and on the sides it swells up and hurts for me to even wear my glasses

Yeah i have huge pressure if i put my glasses on. I have two friends with fibro, they mainly complain of tiredness / aching muscles and headaches but not migraine.

I use sumatriptan injections when migraines bad and it also seems to relax the tmj it's weird!!

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue, well had with the same symptoms. The doctor & dentist referred me back to one another for around 18 months.

I had an arthroscopy then Botox then eventually they done a full operation reconstructing some muscles & now I don't have any issues. Mind you I had to keep nagging & going back once/twice a week.

Hope that helps

Take magnesium citrate Duke, it's a natural muscle relaxant. It helps at bedtime if you take it 1hr before bed 😆
