Have you not consulted any dentist yet? Gum recession can cause damage to supporting bone and cause tooth sensitivity, especially when eating cold or hot foods. So I think, to repair the gum recession a gum tissue grafting may be needed. It's a surgical procedure used to rebuild and regenerate gum tissue. I think it's too late now, but there are chances as gum recession is a slow process. Rather than going for any home remedy it's better to consult with a specialized dentist in your location as soon as possible. One of my friends had this similar situation and she had done gum tissue grafting from Bloor west dentistry in Toronto( bloorwestdentistry.ca/gum-t... ). The dentist over there told because of her carelessness she has lost 3 teeth from the lower side. So I'm telling you this please make an appointment with your dentist and take proper treatment. Let me know your status.

1.) Gum recession doesn't damage supporting bone - loss of supporting bone from disease, however does cause gum recession

2.) Causes of recession: physical/chemical/mechanical trauma, systemic disease/conditions, bacteria & immune

3.0 Treatment of recession is highly dependent on the cause - grafting is ONLY APPROPRIATE in some cases.
