Has anyone used betahistamine (serc) long term? Not sure why I have been prescribed it as I haven't had vertigo for years, but I do have Menieres with second ear losing most hearing a year ago.

I’ve seen a few people on one low dose pill a day or Stemitil, it helps to prevent a attack, it’s non addictive, lesser of two evils.

hi, i have been on Betahistine long term for going on 9 years, it prevents attacks of vertigo etc, caused by inner ear problems. I have undiagnosed Meniere's (currently awaiting an ENT appointment), as far as i can tell it doesn't cause and long term problems, it is non addictive , and does lessen my sickness and vertigo to a point. I still have slight dizziness sometime but as i said it certainly lessens theses attacks.
