Oh , Meniere's , my darling , you are so true , to me .
You're my constant companion , that , costs me , SO dearly .
You're like an old belated lover that cannot, ever let go .
I 'd like to say "I love you ." but you know that is'nt so .
You stalk me in my waking hours and even in my sleep .
I nearly gave up , one day , for your companionship , I did'nt want to keep .
I wish I reeled with passion at your hardened loyalty .
Perhaps if you were'nt so visual and others could not see ,
The times you whisk me off my feet and put me on my back,
Horrendous attacks of vertigo , alack , alack , alack .
It would not be so bad if you left my balance, all alone .
Folk think I'm just an inebriated , dizzy old crone .
The vomitting reminds me of early morning sickness .
I'm always surprised at your speciality of quickness .
The element of spontaneousness is really quite alarming .
When you visit me in public , folk sarcasticly say "How Charming!"
You tried to stop me dancing by throwing me off balance .
On my good days I don't miss a chance,
To rock and roll and reel .
I hate you , you hardened lover for the dizzyness I feel .
You think that you control me and sometimes , you can do , just that .
But just like all the other Men that have treated me like a twat ,
I'm not going to let you beat me and steal my dignity .
I carry no end of humour and you won't stop me , being me !
When I'm laying on the floor and I'm laying so supine .
I concentrate on loving scenes of loving folk of mine .
Appreciating the good days when you are abscent by your leave .
I live life to the full and my sanity , I retrieve .
Strangers in the night , that night , may never come .
I'll see you in my dreams and next time you land me on my bum .
I'll laugh and smile and think , he's here again , my dizzy , old chum
Such is life , for some !
