I have been dealing with hands tremors for months now, I guess it is essential tremor, I have Mucuna Pruriens 90% and need to know how to make efficient use of it with my hands condition. Thanks for helping.

Hi, make sure your stomach can handle it first. I started taking it in 2016 and within the last month i had to stop it altogether as it was horrendous for my stomach and digestive system. Plus I threw up A LOT, to the point that it was projectile vomiting. Reason being is it does not cross the blood brain barrier because there is no carbidopa with it. Just be careful. The best brand is Barlowe’s.

Just a thought as it is a cheap alternative to most things. Try the Vit. B1 Thiamine protocol which I at least am using to great advantage. If it stops my tremors why should it not stop yours. A fortnight in and you should see it working or not. I am a 55 kg 76 year old northern European female with PD and I take 500 mgs with breakfast and 500 ngs with lunch. No tremors no constipation. Result

Wow you’re very lucky that B1 stops your tremors. I had no reaction either way. How much are you taking?

Sorry I was no help. I take 2 x 250 mgs after breakfast and the same again after lunch. Last time I saw my Neurologist he said " wow you changed your hair" I said and where is yours? His is packed away in the alopecia box and that was the sum total of our discussion. By the way the hair he remembered was very curly from a year ago as the hairdresser was closed because of lockdown! But at least he knew who I was. No help with the PD though. I am thinking of directing my queries to the practice of Dr. Costantini. I just don't want to waste their time!!!!!!!!

Simple , they are different types of tremor so what works on one may or may not help the other,

The reason I know this is because at first, my symptoms were similar to essential tremor and my doctor attempted to treat it this way. I had Intention Tremors, which is when the closer your hand or finger gets to where you want it to go, the more it shakes. For example, bringing a spoon up to your mouth to eat soup or reaching to push a small button. You learn a lot along the way. Its quite a journey, going through this stuff!

my husband had a similar situation until he started to have tremors in his left hand (he is right handed) so the neurologist he saw earlier did not know if he had essential tremor or Parkinsons. For some reason we could not get any of the medical records from that neurologist after he retired

I have had essential tremors most of my life. Now also have Parkinson’s. There is a correlation but docs don’t know why. (30%)

Inderal (Propanolol ) 80mg extended release is very low dose and helps a lot. Take extra magnesium. (Costco has great supplement with magnesium calcium and zinc in one tab. That’s how it should be taken). Alcohol helps so have a half a glass of wine early when out to eat!!!
