I took a look and everywhere else on the web it says this what they are doing:

Long-term effect of unilateral subthalamotomy for Parkinson’s disease

This study was started 13 years ago. Thus, it doesn't sound like the results was that significant.

This is focused ultrasound which has already been proven in Switzerland and elsewhere. My point is not to advocate for doing this procedure in Cuba. The point is that this appears to be what they are doing rather than stem cell treatment.

My point is it only treats the symptoms and isn't a cure.

My thought is we shouldn't dismiss any procedure until it is thoroughly investigated. The answer probably lies in a combination of therapies.

I wouldn't dismiss the procedure, but thirteen years is a long time for the investigation not to be thorough.

I sent an email to the canadian company that organizes "health tourism" to Cuba -- they said they'd get back to me after talking with the folks involved in this in Cuba. That could get us an answer!
