Remission after MTX?

My husband has just been diagnosed with seronegative autoimmune arthritis. His specialist assured him his caught it early and done no actual damage to the joints. He has prescribed him a two year treatment of methotrexate which he has assured him would give him 97% chance of going into full remission. However research on google doesn’t seem to imply this is the case and I wondered if anyone else has been told this or experienced full remission?

My wife initially had very little improvement with Methotrexate and was totally exhausted all the time. After 9 month she began to have great improvement and now carries on her lifestyle very close to normal. She has returned to work (took a 6 month limited leave of absence) and is doing very well. I wish you the best of luck.

Gawd bless you 😇 for looking after you’re beloved 💑 & asking questions on his behalf, Seuroneg36. 🙏

(He’s very luck 🍀 to have such a caring wife. 👰🤵)

Kindly take comfort 😌 in knowing there’s abundant realistic hope to improve. ☺️

Be wary of ‘talk’ of ‘remission/ cure’, etc. 🤔

Asking how it’s acheived & for how long it’s anticipated to last . . . — are all reasonable follow-ups. 👍👍

[Because individuals can react so differently to meds & various approaches (over time) , disease progression/ remittance, changing circumstances, etc., the crystal ball 🔮 can get a bit fuzzy (unpredictable) ‘where the rubber 🚘 meets the road’ 🛣 . 😳 😯 🤯 ]

Keep questioning 🤔, keep researching 🕵️‍♀️ 🔎, keep using your gawd-given common sense 🤓 & well-reasoned logic 🧠 .

Very best wishes to both of you, Seuroneg36. 😌 🙏 🍀 🌺 🌞

Per responses noted ( healthunlocked.com/nras/pos... ), the Dr Arvind Kaul’s (several years old) video ("Medicine for members: Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis" healthunlocked.com/nras/pos... ) may hold additional insights as to physician’s positions/ protocols (treatment, diagnosing, med/ drug prescribing, etc.), med expense/ affordability, etc. — irrespective of type of autoimmune disease diagnosed (even though Dr. AK’s focused mainly on Psoriasis & Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) in that particular presentation). [Inferring the medical system concepts (physician approaches to chronic, lifelong autoimmune disease, drug expense, etc.) are generally relevant/ applicable ‘across the board’ as far as treating/ managing the wide variety of flavours of autoimmune illnesses.] Merely additional/ supplemental insights about how systems/ organisations operate & what patients (& their families) are up against.) 😌 🙏 🍀 🌺 🌞
