Hey there I am a 52 year old woman that was diagnosed with RA about 2 years ago. It has been up and down since then trying to get different medicines to work. Right now I am on methotrexate and enbrel. I have had 1 month in these two years that I actually felt normal, but back to pain and fatigue.

Hey There
I have been on enbrel and methotrexate for about five years now and an doing great! Some days I forget I have RA. It took some time, several months or so for everything to gel, so don't lose heart! My last x-rays showed no signs of further damage and my blood tests have been good. To me the combination of enbrel and methotrexate have been a miracle. Often, I think of how far I've come (going up stairs, walking, getting out of cars, using my hands, etc). It really is amazing. Have faith !
Hi, sounds like me, 51 and was finally diagnosed last year after years of specialists. I'm also on methotrexate, and plaquenil, and meds for IBS. I'm in continuous pain, very rare good days I love to exercise so I force myself and altho I run really slow it makes me feel better. So I run, hike, jump rope, lift light weights and on days when I don't move the stiffness almost kills me. Fun isn't it?
Keep trying different meds. It took me years to come up with a liveable combination.
