Hi,

Has anyone been on the Modulen liquid diet before? How effective is it?

No, but I have been on the specific carbohydrate diet. If you’re interested you can go to Pecanbread.com and it lists the stages of the diet which I think are very helpful for many it just depends on how bad your flare is but what most people do is if it’s food bothers them they just eliminate that food on the intro diet but after that they stick with everything on the diet and go stage by stage until they get better

Thanks will be interesting to take a look. I’m going through a severe flare up at the moment.

When i was first diagnosed with Crohns it worked really well for me, it gave my body a complete rest from food and allowed healing time. I was given it a few years back to try again during a bad flare up and because i can no longer tolerate dairy it made me a lot worse and i had to stop it.

I’m really hoping it works for me. Been going through a severe flare up since having my son so looking forward to some healing time. How long did you take it for the first time?

It worked for me to begin with, i think i had this easily for about 8 to 12 weeks! I remember going a loooong time without food but it was so worth it, i just wish i could have it again now but unfortunately when i came off of it and re introduced food again, thats when i began intolerant to dairy.
