Yes...it's a proven fact that having Crohns does cause you to form clots easier. That is sometimes good and sometimes not. My clots have been the superficial kind for the most part...but have had a few dangerous type ones. Dr.s for the most part are clueless about this.

Good day and God Bless. XX

Thank you so much for your reply, had really bad pain just under my right breast, I ended up in a and e they found I had blood clots on both my lungs worse on the right hand side, I had no other symptoms apart from that pain under my right breast and I was constipated, strange for me having crohn’s. Hi there. When I had a severe flare up, they were concerned about one of my blood tests. Something to do with platelets, my Dr said she doubted I would suffer a stroke, but it had something to do with blood clotting and as there was so much going on, I didn't pay it a lot of attention. I did notice at the time, veins in my hands would burst causing severe short lived pain, and a hard lump afterwards. My Dr didn't seem concerned by this, and it has stopped happening now. Could it be something to do with dehydration??? All the best.
