I received a biopsy report and it said “consistent with IBD”. What does it mean?

The calprotectin in May was 1000, in June 129 without meds or diet. UC symptoms disappeared after Blastocystis treatment by Bactrim

Have you not spoken to your GI consultant? It appears that you have a tendency towards Colitis, with acid reflux (heartburn). There is nothing to suggest anything sinister (cancer) is present. So, in summary, you have pain, diarrhoea and heartburn, all of which is treatable. Tbh, I think you knew what it said, but not the last bit about it being treatable. I don't blame you for wanting some confirmation, but I don't understand why you got the best report without a consultation with your GP or GI consultant. (something I would be really angry over, for it you didn't have this site, where would you have got diagnosis/confirmation from?)

Thank you for your reply. Our GI said it is could be Chron or UC and prescribed Apriso. I disagree because inflammation can be from other things too including meds, parasites or infection. And the report looks really unclear to me...

The report states "consistent with IBD". "possible esophageal disease, but this is common with IBD. The calprotectin in excess of 600 is normally considered a case for investigating for IBD. The report originator states that in their opinion this indicates IBD UC. There is only one way to confirm or deny UC or Crohn's disease, and that is with a biopsy or, indeed, a full blown excise of the intestines, not something which you, I, or any surgeon worth their salt would advocate. On balance I would go with the diagnosis, as given, and try the treatment offered, to see if it works. If it doesn't, and, in any case, you are entitled to a second opinion, should you wish to go down this route. Good luck.

It could be indeterminate colitis as well.

I would re-check PCR Parasite test and consider Allergy colitis too.
