Well finally the day before my examination and have to take Picolax twice today, one sachet this morning and one this afternoon, figured be able to work a bit this morning and take the afternoon off, have a couple more hours to do so taking the first one shortly before I go home at lunchtime. Any experiences of this prep and what to expect??

I would wait until you get home to take it. Picolax can affect people in different ways, but it is meant to clear your bowels, so take care.
Definitely wait until you are home before taking it, the results can be pretty quick and once you start you won't be able to go anywhere other than the loo !!
Drink lots and have some Vaseline or nappy rash cream handy !
I have to pad up at night after taking Picolax, urgency such that no time for getting to loo.
Only just seen your post. I do hope that if you went to work in the morning you didn't take the Picolax. I found that within an hour or two of starting the brew I needed to have Usain Bolt like speed to get to the toilet! I found Picolax to be VERY VERY effective and after the first toilet visit there are plenty more to follow. I always took the day off on the day before my examination as I knew that when I started the evil brew not being very close to the toilet was not an option, when you've got to go, you got to go fast. Hope you survived the Picolax without incident and more importantly the examination went as well as these things can do.
