Colonoscopy and symptoms

I have had endometriosis for about 5 years now and I have it on my bowel so causing lots of issues. I got sent for a Colonoscopy yesterday and the nurse explained the finding to me afterwards. It stated, multiply ulcers, erosion and inflammation possible caused by crohn's. Apart from the bleeding and loose bowels, which I have always put down to the endo, I don't have any other symptoms, no fever and definitely no weight loss (I wish). Could it be crohn's without these symptoms. Feeling a bit confused now.

Thanks for any help you may have.

Not sure if this will answer your question but I don’t get any fever at all (I wasn’t even aware this was a common thing) the only time I lose weight is when I’m in a continued flare. During this time I eat high calories foods (if I can tolerate them) to try to minimize this fluctuation. When I’m not in a flare I gain the weight back again as my appetite increases. I try to keep my weight as stable as possible.

There have been a few times when I was really flaring for long periods and my weight dropped significantly when all I can tolerate is liquids.

If you are second guessing your GI explaination, maybe have a conversation with your GI about why you think it may not be Crohns and see what they say. I find my GI doesn’t explain things very well, I think they assume we know more about the disease since we have the disease.

This disease is so different for different people. Some have mild, others moderate, moderate to severe and severe requiring surgury.

Hi, the findings are definately in keeping with crohns. Depends on severity of flare as to whether there is fever and weightloss

Hi just wanna say I have endo and I'm struggling to distinguish whats endo and whats not its such a difficult disease because everyone is different 😮 The only reason I'm being tested for crohns is due to weight loss but I also always put down the blood in my stool due to endo 😮 I get other symptoms though like fever nausea etc but still then endo can cause that 😂 Maybe the endo over powers the crohns I would trust the doctors opinion 😮

it is confusing, I don't have weight loss either. I have a lot other symptoms though fatigue back ache. They are my main symptoms, but everyone is different and that is what is strange about this disease. I was diagnosed with this a year ago and I'm still in shock, still trying to get mine under control. At least now they have diagnosed you now, but I wish I could say that's the end of it, but its just the beginning, coming to terms with it is the hardest,. Be kind to yourself, not like me. Take care Kathy
