AF triggered by sleep apnea
It's been a long journey to this point and since I've been using the
CPAP
machine at night I've most recently gone 25 days without an AF episode -- the longest period so far this year for me.

Congestion and not the traffic kind!
I've used a
cpap
machine as I have sleep apnoea diagnosed in 2016. Just wanted to ask if anyone has had similar issues with horrible cough and congestion/phlegm whilst using their
cpap
machine in case theres a link between
cpap
machine use?

Sleep issues
If it is recommended that my wife needs a
CPAP
machine, which she is not keen on using, can anyone tell me if they have been in a similar situation and did a
CPAP
machine have any benefit? Did it stop the daytime sleeping?

insomnia 10 hours in 4 days
One of those is sleep apnea, which I wear a
CPAP
machine for. However the past 6 months I’ve had horrific insomnia! I’m talking it’s so bad I’m getting about 4 hours in every 24! I honestly don’t know what to do anymore, I’m so tired I feel physically sick!

Getting No Help and feeling desperate
Being waiting months for a
CPAP
machine but now my doctor wants me to do another sleep study. I have been using kratom for years but now it's not really working for me and am close to packing it all in.

Home Oxygen Therapy
I was discharged with a
CPAP
machine for OSA and prescribed 1l of oxygen at night whilst in the mask. I also have an oxygen condenser which provides 5l of oxygen when exercising or walking short distances. My question I suppose is if people have received these, do they eventually wean off?

A horrible year on Cpap
Hates Apap, which I do better on, and wants me on
CPap
. Keeps telling me I am fine. Wake up with headache, stuffy nose when using machine, feel like a can of busted biscuits in the morning. Waking BP is 185/108. Am on 3 different BP meds. I know the apnea/
Cpap
is raising night time BP.

CPAP first time user - your experience please, 4G etc
I picked up a Resmed
CPAP
machine with a nasal only mask yesterday from our local Guildford (Surrey) NHS hospital to hopefully remove my mild sleep apnoea and stop me waking around 3 times every night. Any comments on member's experience would be appreciated.

Diagnosed with Sleep Apnea
Hi I wondered if you could get a
CPAP
privately rather than waiting on the NHS? I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and been told I would benefit from a
CPAP
machine. The wait is a long one! Can you buy one yourself? Set it up? Etc...?

Restless sleep
He wears a
CPAP
mask but cannot always tolerate wearing it so pulls it off, something he would never do. All of this is affecting his energy levels as well as mine as he is very tired throughout the day.

Immunocompromised?
I use
CPAP
…. do I need to sterilize it more frequently? Change my linens more frequently… alter my diet… avoid sick people…? I hope that everyone has a nice day and enjoys a cheerful holiday season. Thanks. D

Possible Anoxic Brain Injury
He does breathe on his own (they changed to
cpap
in this time), his heart rate is good, blood pressure is good, and oxygen levels are around 100, also his breaths per min are around 14-18. I just need some insight.

Link between Severe Sleep Apnea & Back Pain?
If so, after starting
CPAP
therapy, did all 3 of their things improve drastically?

PIP change of circumstances
I’ve now become worse with symptoms and mobility and have now acquired severe sleep apnea with
CPAP
therapy machine. I was awarded 10 & 10 points in Sept 2023. I wrote a letter to PIP and explained the change in circumstances.

Sleep Apnea and afib
I had given the
cpap
machines a good try; and I simply could not adjust to them. What other answers are there to this problem? I can't even imagine sleeping in a recliner chair for the rest of my life !!

Ablation question
Difference this time I’m on
cpap
and ranolazine so maybe that’s why it lasted slightly longer also weight loss healthy eating exercise etc. Feel so annoyed with myself I just went for a slow 20 min walk nothing strenuous came back and it had reverted back to AF.
