I was tired today and needed my run, started off well, got to a steady pace and was aware to take it easy.......got to the halfway point and turned round to head back, the final 10 minutes were not good...my legs were getting tired and I noticed a twinge in my right leg just below the knee...I should have stopped there and then, but no, I carried on and barely jogged along, the final 60 seconds I actually counted them so I could keep going.
The five minute cool down was fine and I thought that I would be ok. Had a soak in a cool bath and thought that was it.......then ouch, my knee is hurting like mad, I have no ice for an ice pack and just hope it will be better in the morning.
There you have it, I will see how I feel on Wednesday as it seems those last few minutes really do make a difference. Still, did 5K in 31 minutes.worth a bit of pain (I guess)
