Weight loss and getting fitter

I used to run a lot when I was in my early thirties, so hoping it goes well into week 9. Problem I had which I guessed was my weight, 5ft 9 male at 19 stone when I started my diet prior to running was a hinderance, but after 6 weeks of diet I felt able to start the program and now at 9 weeks I have just finished week 2' delayed by a week in France.

Anyway I am now 16 stone 7 lb and feeling so much better and keeping the diet and the running going.

well done! Why couldn't you run in France though? :) I am loving the idea of some overseas runs this year. :-)

I have a house I rent out near Limoges, I went out with my son to fit new double glazing, we did a run on the 2 nd night which was my w2 r2. My son has his final Army induction interview in 2 weeks so the running was good for him, sadly he twisted his knee and I stopped him running to let it mend before the interview and final fitness test. I did no other runs in the week as I thought it unfair to leave him. Anyway ..... Back on track now.

Thanks for the good comments on the weight loss, I am proud of what I have achieved

Well done simshaz you will find as you go into longer runs the weight will keep coming off, well it did for me. Good luck with the rest of the programme.

Good for you. I used to run a fair bit in my twenties and thirties, did half and full marathons, now 53 and 16st 7lb a couple of weeks ago when I started the program. Weight is coming down, but finding it tough, just keeping the focus on the goals and keeping it real, want to get to 14st by June and be able to run for 30 mins, then see where we go.
