I'm going to have to redo this w8 :-(

W8r3 today, another 'bad' run.

Got to 19 mins and just HAD to walk, I don't know why I just couldn't carry on.

21 mins I started again, even though I was so exhausted and my legs wouldn't work my recovery time is certainly quicker.

But boo 24 mins and it was only a slight incline that was it, I've struggled through toughies before but no not this time I was broken :-(

I wasn't going too quickly I checked and was running the same as normal, I am going to have to redo w8 aren't I? Was so looking forward to w9 :-(

Sometimes it's like that, for no apparent reason :( But yes, it does sound as though repeating the week might be best, for all that it's frustrating...

For whatever reason I struggled with the 2nd and 3rd runs of week 8. I think I had 2 bad runs in a row that week. But in your case it seems you're just coming off a cold so don't be so hard on yourself. Give it another try once you're fully recovered and see how it goes. :)

Don't be too disheartened. Lots of us have had to repeat runs. Look how far you have come already, in the grand scheme of things repeating a week isn't the worse thing that can happen even if you are so close to the end. Get yourself feeling fit, dust yourself off and do week 8 again. Then it's onwards to week 9 and graduation. You have done a great job so far - YOU CAN DO IT!

I too struggled through week 8 for some reason.. try one more week 8 run and see what happens. Go out with a positive approach, forget the earlier runs.... you can do it, believe in yourself, you will do it.. good luck

You are nearly there and repeating a run - or a week - won't do any harm, and in fact if you're recovering from illness no wonder you were tired. Don't worry about it, don't over-think it, but go out there again and you'll nail it, I bet :)

Thankyou all :-) its obviously just a bad week, I will do another 28 mins before moving on as I want to feel happy with it going into w9, it doesn't sound a lot does it but an extra 2 mins really does make the difference.

Hi! I had really bad runs in week 8 runs 1 & 2; but the next one was fine - I just went a different route so my mind wasn't waiting for the bit where it had got bad/hard and that seemed to help. I then went on to week 9 with a bit of trepidation but that went fine!

Good luck, can't wait to see your green grad badge very soon! :-)

Maybe have 2 days rest, if you've been taking single rest days - I found it made a lot of difference with the longer runs. I didn't always need 2 days, but when I did, the next run was easier. Recovering from illness ccan set us back more than we might expect too. :)
