Having finished the book by Rosie Swale Pope recently, I also got the email version of a book by Ted Archer on the Marathon des Sables. Fascinating reading, and then I looked at all the You Tube references. I got tired just watching it, but although I would not want to do it myself, it made my little trots around the block much less daunting!

You might enjoy "Born to Run"; I googled the various ultra-runners as I read it with increasing disbelief at what those guys can do
