Following the earlier blog about how many C25Kers are taking part in Park Run, I have taken the liberty of setting up a facebook page for anyone who is interested. Please feel free to share your Parkrun experiences and photos here and any links that you think might be of interest. Hopefully, we can encourage people thinking of trying C25K and/or Parkrun for the first time.

I've never set up a group so if there are any problems or anyone has any advice please let me know. It's an Open Group at the moment - I'm not sure how this will work, or if it might be better as a Closed Group.

Great idea. I've signed up.

I set up a group for Edinburgh Natural History Society a couple of years ago. It comes up on Facebook as an open group but I get posts saying people have asked to join. Can't honestly remember exactly what settings I used. I've always accepted requests to join, even from people I don't know and aren't members because it's a bit of a shop window for the society. When I set it up, I decided that if there were any problems, I'd make it closed but so far it's been fine. People joining know it's an open group so it's up to them. We have a closed Yahoo group too which people who are unhappy about the openness of social media can use and that is only for members.

So I'm inclined to say let's see how it goes. You can always use this forum to canvass views.

I've added you now Wilma. I thought along the same lines as you - I can always make it closed if necessary but I'd prefer to think that most people have better things to do than cause problems. I'm happy to think that way until proved wrong !

I have requested to join. But maybe you shouldn't accept me until I have done my parkrun. Wouldn't like to be the fraudulent one in the group :-/

Just joined too. Haven't done a parkrun yet, only got as far as registering. Hoping to do one soon though.
