I am about to start week 5 (eeekkk!) and over the past few weeks I have found my lower back really aches, not when running, just all the time
I run on a running machine...not sure if that makes a difference.
Anyone else had/have this?

Hi! I have a tendency to stick my bum out a bit if I'm tired or not trying to "run tall". I'd suggest trying to see if it's a form thing maybe?
There's a bit about running form on here: nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...
I had weeks of lower back pain but I am pretty sure mine was down to poor core muscles. The more I have run the better it seems to have got.
Yes I suffer too.. I've just done week 5 run 3 and I had to stop after 15 mins due to the ache in my lower back!, just couldn't run through the pain. I had it a little with shorter runs but the longer run really took its effect. I'm 3 days after now and can still feel it.
I've started the core mussle exercises and will consciously run with better posture next time and just see how it goes. I really don't want to quit as this is the first exercise I've done in 3 years!!
I have had to give my back 3-4 days between runs to recover. That can't be right?! :/
