I'm registered with Parkruns and am now training for the 10k distance and am intending entering the one in my town but it's not until November. I'm curious to know of other runs I might take part in though and would like to know how I could find out about them?

Is there a network to sign into for information about races/runs in your area?
athleticsni.org/Fixtures/Ro... That website is useful for those in Northern Ireland. There might be a similar regional alternative.
Also different running related websites that have forums normally have an events section, I used to visit the 'upandrunning' shops forum, but can't seem to find it now. Runners World Magazine also has one: runnersworld.co.uk/forum/ev...
In Scotland we have Scottish Running Guide: scottishrunningguide.com/ra...
This list all the regional races - from huge events, to those held within the framework of Highland Games - and one or two of the major international events
I don't know if there are English/Welsh equivalents.
The other place to look is Jog Scotland or Run England; search for your local club and you'll probably find they list all the local races for this year.
I use the Runners World website that is pretty comprehensive and you can apply on line for lots of them through that.
I find other race organisers leave flyers at our Parkrun venue so keep an eye out there. I did not realise there were as many until I started looking...........doing them is another matter!
Thanks guys, much appreciated.
I signed up for the Runners World newsletter but they keep sending me races in the wrong area. I found a list of local races on the website for a local running club.
Thanks guys, I've found the perfect local site.
