Finally started week 3!! And it felt great!

After the snow I decided to redo week two to get back on track gently. I was also hoping to get my daughter back out after a bug. Didnt achieve the latter.

So I finally got to week 3 last night. Loved it. I was surprised just how good it felt, in fact it was a big relief. I felt I was really struggling doing week 2 again. But I think it has just eased me back into the swing of things. I'm not in a rush to get through this I just want to gradually get my body used to it. And C25k seems to be working really great.

Also knowing there are lots of people experiencing the same setbacks and struggles is helping me stick with it.

Thanks wife! Didn't think I could last week. Felt hard, tight muscles and biting cold wind. Thanks for pushing me out the door and encouraging me : )

Hi there, i'm very new to all this too! i've never run in my life, and it's the hardest thing i've ever done. I absolutley love the way i feel after, not only the sence of achievment but, the physical feeling of having loads of energy! I'm struggling with getting past W2R3, i've repeated this several times now, i'm just really worried that i'm not going to manage W3! It feels like a big jump from running 1.5 mins, to 2.5 mins! How did you find the jump in times?

Oh - do it. Somehow it happens, not sure how. It starts easy and then you walk and then you're doing it. I thought I couldn't and then after lots of huffing I'd done it. It's worth trying. I surprised myself.

I found the jump easier funnily enough....just need to get some momentum going and this actually helped. I also slowed a tiny bit a first to see if I could settle into the 3 mins. But soon realised that I felt ok.

I'd just try it out slowly and listen to your muscles and breath deep! The buzz afterwards is great!

Well done to you! Like you, no matter how much I dread and put off a run, I feel such a sense of achievement afterwards. Glad to see wifey pushed you out the door! ;-) Hopefully you two can be running together, injury free, soon! Gayle
