So having not been able to run for nearly 4 weeks I am slightly apprehensive and hoping the lingering cough I have will not get in the way! Let's see ...

Good luck! My advise, after having a similar break, is to take it easy and don't try to do too much.

I could only manage 3K after having a flu-like cold, did a couple of 5ks during the holidays, and am now back to running 8ks. :) Let us know how you get on!

Go for it ! I was exactly the same. I had a stroke in September 2012, I'd successfully completed the programme and was running 5k every other day at the time. The stroke obviously got in the way of my running but here I am, 4 months later and I've started the programme at week 1 again and feel fab.

I managed 5k in about 34 mins which is similar to what I was doing before. Really pleased all though the coughing fit at the end wasn't pleasant! Looking forward to getting back on track with some longer runs.
